Large public gathering in Helmand Lashkargah

A large public gathering was organized in Lashkar Gah by the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs. The meeting was attended by the Acting Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs Alhaj Mullah Noorullah Noori, the Vice minister of Jirgas Alhaj Mullah Abdul Khaliq Abid, the accompanying delegation, provincial officials, hundreds of scholars and tribal leaders from all districts of Helmand province. The meeting was held in the cofrance hall. Several scholars and tribal leaders spoke on behalf of the districts and the center, they shared some problems and requests. Acting Minister of Borders, Tribes and Tribal Affairs Alhaji Mullah Noorullah Noori addressed the meeting and said: In the past 20 years, the people of Afghanistan, specially the people of Helmand, have seen such raids and atrocities that we cannot describe. It was the blessing of Jihad that now the Islamic system has arrived in our country and security is guaranteed, everyone's rights are protected.

Mr. Noori added that the Ministry of Borders, Tribes and Tribal Affairs is the bridge between the people and the government. We have solved 17 ethnic conflicts so far, which I mention as an example of the 91 years old conflict resolution of Nuristan province. Alhaj Mulla Abdul Khaliq Abid, Vice minister of Jirgas, said in his speech: Since this government was obtained with a lot of precious blood, it is the duty of all to protect it. We will support this government with unity.
