Rahman Baba High School

         Rahman Baba High School was established in 1950 for the children of borders and insecure provinces. In the beginnings, due to the lack of professional school teachers the students were voluntarily taught by the Teacher – Training and Kabul University instructors such as Ghoncha Gul Khan, Abdul Raoof, former President Hafizullah Amin, and Deputy Adam Khan. Later, Deputy Adam Khan was appointed as teaching Assistant of the mentioned school.                                   

 The mentioned school has the honor of graduating distinguished figures such as, Farooq Wardag Minister of Education, Mohammad Sediq Patman Teaching Deputy of the mentioned Ministry, Dr HedayatUllah Hedayat, Mohammad Yusef Noristani and so many other distinguished personalities. Door Marjan is considered as the first Principle of the mentioned school. Rahman Baba Elementary School upgraded to high school in 1960.                                                                                                                                                                                      

 The buildings of the mentioned school were destroyed during the last three decades of civil war,   in 2003 a German construction company along with the cooperation of Pakistani and Japans   donors started reconstructing the two destroyed buildings; in 2005 it was fully repaired and ready for the  students to pursue their education .At the same year  In light of an agreement with the Ministry of Education and Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs the mentioned school officially became under lead of MoBTA. The school is run by principle, administration deputy, dormitory principle, sanitation deputy, sport center officer, and two IT officers.                                                                                                                      

Both teachers and administrators have received training on regular basis through the District Teachers Training Team (DT3) Program.                                                                                      .

In 2011 totally 438 students were studying in the mentioned school  from different provinces such as , Nimroz, Orzgan, Zabul , Laghman, Helmand, Qandahar, Ghazni, Wardag, Herat, Frah, Badghis, Logar, Paktia, Paktika, Nangrhar, Konar, Noristan, Kapisa, Parwan, Baghlan, Konduz, Jawzjan, Khost and Saripul.

The following facilities have been provided for the students, biology and chemistry laborites, library, cultural committee, medical clinic, and pharmacy.                                                             

  Besides educational activities, attention is being paid to sport activities. The school has football, volleyball and cricket teams which are well –trained and well equipped.  These teams have participated in several domestic level competitions so far, that have had great achievements for the school.
