“Those Who Think of Disturbing This Country Should Remember 20 Years of the Sacrifices and Struggles”

Minister of Borders and Tribal Affairs Mullah Noorullah Noori told a meeting in Baghlan entitled defending the Islamic system that; after the conquest of Afghanistan the command and decree of amnesty from Amirul Momineen, may God protect him, was a historic step in preventing civil war. He called Afghans brave people, adding that as long as these people are alive, no one will look at Afghanistan in a bad eye. He also explained that those who are thinking of disturbing this land should remember 20 years of bravery, sacrifices and struggles we made.

At the meeting, Deputy Minister for Coordination of Jirgas and Tribal Affairs Maulavi Mohammad Ali Jan Ahmad mentioned Afghans fighting warriors and said that Afghans have never surrendered to anyone's threats and force. He added: "Those who promised patriotism and progress yesterday have joined hands with the enemies of Afghanistan to create chaos and disruption."

The tribal elders, in turn, called on the system to be their responsibility and added that they would not allow anyone to create obstacles in the way of the Islamic Emirate. The elders called on the people to avoid ethnic, racial and other discriminations and said: The success of this nation and the sustainability of the Islamic Emirate lies in obedience and unity.

The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister for promotion of virtue, prevention of Evil and Hearing Complaints Sheikh Noor Mohammad Haqqani, representative of intelligence directorate Maulavi Akhtar Shah Hashemi, the governor of Baghlan Maulavi Abdul Rahman Haqqani, tribal elders of the province, religious scholars, district representatives, university professors, and the general public.
