Meeting with the people and tribes of Herat province

Tue/7/Feb/2023                                                                                In Herat Province, the Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs held a meeting for coordination of people and tribes and to listen to their problems. In this meeting, acting minister of mentioned ministry, Alhaji Mullah Noorullah Noori, vice minister for Coordination of Jirgas and Tribal Affairs, Alhaji Maulvi Abdul Khaliq Abid, the delegation, the governor of Herat, tribal elders and scholars participated. At the beginning of the meeting,on behalf   several tribal elders and scholars told in their speech, the biggest achievement for us is security, we are safe from discrimination and danger, they added that only in Herat 4000 drug addicts have been collected and, they are under treatment. They demanded more attention from the government in terms of people unity, providing sevices in far away areas from the city and drug prevention.

Acting Minister Mr. Noori said in his speech: Herat province is a city of history and civilization and this province is an example of unity in our history. Even though there are economic sanctions,  but the government have started develoment works, the values of Afghanis has remained stable, the extraction of oil and minerals has started and you can see the Qushtipeh canal yourself. He added that we have heard the demands of the tribes and people of Herat province and will take necessary actions to resolve them. Later at the meeting, the governor of Herat province spoke and called all the people to unity and brotherhood and the meeting ended with the prayer.
