The directorate of Border inspection has an officer in all the provinces of the country as an expert in border investigation and regulation. This department investigate and inspects the official borders of the country and the hypothetical Durand Line, and carries out the following important tasks: border violations, destruction of border rivers, fixing and renewing pillars and illegal routes along the country's borders and the hypothetical Durand line with the relevant authorities and cooperating organizations.
