Abdul Ghafor Lewal Acting Minister of Ministry of Borders and Tribal Affairs met with Mohammad Rafi Yousefzai the Representative of Promote Program at his office. In the meeting both sides discussed and exchanged views on a wide range of issues, including Provision of “Promote Program” training facilities for the women working in MoBTA.  Promote is the largest USAID women’s leadership program in the world .It will provide 75000 young educated women the opportunity to acquire the skills they need to advance in afghan society. Education is the key to eliminating gender inequality, to reduce poverty, to creating a sustainable planet, to preventing needless death and illness, and to fostering peace. It has always been one of our prime goals to provide girl children educational facilities, trainings and safe working environment for female workers. Stated Mr. Lewal

 During the meeting, Mr. Lewal conveyed MOBTA’s appreciation for the Promote Program’s support and added that MoBTA will make efforts to provide opportunity for the female workers to receive trainings on regular basis through the Promote Program.

 He expressed confidence that MOBTA –Promote relations would continue to follow a positive trajectory and stressed that MOBTA was looking forward to working closely with Promote Program to provide training opportunities for the women.
